We took a fall colors trip this year and hit the jackpot. We started out in Roanoke, Virginia and drove the Blue Ridge Parkway to the southern end at the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Before driving through the GSMNP we took a ride on the Great Smoky Mountains Railway from Dillsboro to Bryson, NC. The trip continued on a drive through the Great Smoky Mountains National Park and on to The Cumberland Falls State Resort Park in Corbin, Kentucky.
Although we enjoyed and were amazed at nature's spectacle of fall colors, the drought had the streams and waterfalls at extremely low levels.
I hope you will enjoy some of the sights from our trip.
